The Story

The ENDings show image: a grinning skull wearing headphones

An abandoned office holds many stories. We're hiring a Protagonist to discover them.

That's where you come in. You're great at choices. That's why you're reading this right now.

With a flashlight, headset, and an impish narrator you make the choices that shape your adventure... and your ending.

But don't worry, you get to go back to the START.

What to Expect

We're Hiring!

Not just anyone can be a Protagonist. The HR will interview you after you arrive. We're sure you have what it takes.

Individual interviews take place about every 5 minutes. Once hired, your work day will be about 75 minutes.

Your Own Adventure

With a smartphone and a headset, you're let loose in an abandoned office to find an unusual story. Or three.

Make a Choice

What's a story with a Narrator? The unseen Narrator will guide you through part of the story, and then give you a choice.

The choice you make? How your story ends? That's up to you.

Every story leads to The End. Literally. But that's okay—you can always go back to the START.

FAQ

Is this an escape room?

The Endings is not an escape room. There are no puzzles. It is in the genre of choose-your-own-adventure books and video games. Instead of solving puzzles, you will make choices on your own as you explore a space with a headset and phone. There is no winning or losing, but the opportunity to discover hidden secrets.

Is it a group experience?

You will explore The Endings on your own, with each guest entering the space every 5 minutes. There will be other guests on their own journeys, so you are not alone in the space. We recommend you book with friends, so you can share your individual discoveries afterwards.

How long is it?

The Endings is about 75 minutes once selected for your interview.

You may enter later than your ticketed time, so we recommend allotting up to 90 minutes for your visit with us.

Is it scary?

This is NOT a haunted house. There are no jump scares or gore. However, the space is dark, and the narratives always end in a comedic death.

Are there any live actors?

Yes! You will have a scene alone with an actor. Their job is not to scare you, but to intrigue you.

Is there an age limit?

Due to the the solo nature of the experience, The Endings has a strict age limit of 18+.

What should I wear?

Comfortable shoes—as you will be walking—and reading glasses (as needed)—as you will be selecting written choices on a phone as part of your exploration.

Is it replayable?

Yes. There are eleven stories to explore, each with diverging paths, and 35 different endings. An average visit will uncover 3-5 different endings.

Is there a trigger warning for The Endings?

The narratives always end in your comical death, such as being hopelessly lost or crushed under an avalanche of books. It's like dying in a video game and not taken seriously. There is strictly no mention of suicide, self-harm, or murder. While the deaths are intended to be funny, the experience may not suit those who are sensitive to the subject of mortality.
